Can a Filter Hose for a above ground swimming pool be longer that 6 feet?
I get a new pool filter and pump, it is slightly bigger than we thought, we will stipulation to place the filter/pump a few feet further than our hoary one. But...we will need to use an 8' to 10' filter hose due to the distance of the pool and location of filter/pump. Is it OK to use a 8' - 10' filter hose instead of the standard 6'. I don't want to loose any nouns pressure etc.
Answers: You won't have any problems next to using 10 instead of 6 as long as the height between the pump and the pool doesn't increase, example your pool sits on hummock and you move pump lower than the bottom of pool, hope this helps and merry swimming.
The new distance is not going
to be paid a noticable difference in pressure.
