i accidently left my straightners on for a total weekend while i was away on my table and very soon there's a massive burn mark
i don't want my parents to find does anyone hold any suggestions on covering it up?
if it is solid wood that has the burn sucker, I would go to Home Depot preferably next to a picture and measurements and ask one of the workers there if they have something to replace the piece that is burned. It may not be so assured to hide, but worth a try
Just count your blessings that the house didn't burn down. Probably better to fess up and put in the picture the parents - maybe use this as a right excuse to talk you parents into a topical one - one with an auto-off piece!
There might be hope for the table yet - what is the top made out of? - indisputable (solid) wood can be sanded down and refinished, wood laminate on bit board - you're out of luck.
