Builder Forgot To Install Attic Vents. Is My House Damaged? I am living in a rightly brand new brick sheep...

I am living in a rightly brand new brick sheep farm house, been living within it for a little over a year. Recently, I found out the builder did not install attic vent. Nobody noticed this until immediately. The building company said they would have a roofer come out and install them.

I've be reading up on this and discovered poor ventilation contained by the attic can cause wreckage and even poses health risks, such as moisture build up cause wood to rot and mold growth. Considering the attic has not be ventilated for over a year, can these problems exist already? Or does it pocket many years for such problems to come about. I live in internal Texas, I've already gone through all the season, including a hot, humid summer and cool winter where the tempertures can drop below freezing.

The builder is also man a bit slow getting the roofer out here, is this serious enough that I requirement to get our city building inspector involved? I'm sure this house is not surrounded by accordance with the building code. Thanks.
Answers:    James,
What is your overall square foot of the house? Attic?
The building department should own caught this - are you absolutely sure at hand are no vents? There are several builders - due to the aesthetics of the roof - and size - lone use eave vents, as roof vent isn't required because of the square foot of the attic space.
Eave vents are difficult to see - but if you know what you are looking for are effortlessly recognizable. I included a picture below - that will contribute you an idea of the nouns to look for the eave vents.
To your other interrogate - 1 - 2 years without a vent system isn't preferred - but you probably did no harm. To security your mind - you can get a house inspection (check next to your bank or mortgage lender - they'll know of one) and hold them check. If you really have no vent, get them installed formerly the hot humid summer begins - and you should be fine!

Good Luck!
