I am buying a foreclosed home that was not not completely finished. the home is a 2 story 2412 all brick Townhome. The HVAC unit were never intstalled but the ducts were (someone stole the copper pipes) how much will a duel part cost to be installed.
Answers:    Maybe $6000 - $8000
That really depends on where you are geographically and how fancy a system you want. I would suggest talking to a local hvac contractor. Make sure a nouns calculation is performed though, or the part may be sized wrong. Also, don't be too impatient with a contractor that is leery of installing a system on duct work that someone else designed-often these are the best contractors. Another opportunity, probably the cheapest, would be to contact the hvac contractor that did the original install- they've already done all the engineering legwork for the hvac, so should know how to complete it cheaper than the competition. A 3 ton outdoor unit is around $1200(good quality 13 seer), and the indoor branch is around $600. Labor fluctuates with region and linesets (50' of the "copper tubing") run $120-$220 depending on size. You've got a special opportunity-Take advantage of it-you should definitely confer more thought to your hvac system than your rug color, trim options, or appliances-something most home buyers never even blink at.
