Hello,
Im rebuilding a COX ride on mower With a 11hp Briggs And Stratton Engine on it.
The Engine will not start.
This is what ive done:
Clean the carby All is fine and is in fitting working order, Took the organizer off adjectives valves and piston work and are not destabilized, Has a great spark, Fuel line is working, Has great Compresion, Timing for valve and Flywheel are in smudge, Spayed Aerostart (easy starter in it) Still wont fire, Ive even heated the engine beside a flame torch all over, All i can draw from from it is a bang through the carby sometimes exuast (muffler).
I dont know what the problem is, if someone know please please tell me?
gratefulness
First, you said that you cleaned the carb. Did you take it apart and soak it within a parts cleaner or did you just clean the outside with some spray unwanted items? Than you talk more or less valve timing, how would you know this?
Check the push button between the flywheel and the crankshaft, it it is sheared the ignition timing will be off. This might explain the poping through the carb and muffler.
If you didn't properly verbs and rebuild the carb, you should.
Points? As to timing?
Is the plug getting raining from the fuel as you try to start it?
If not you still have a fuel problem. That one could be big ample to have a diaphram fuel pump that could be impossible. Or a jet is still plugged.
But a "little" fuel down the carb as you are trying to start would try-out for fuel problems. But if it is still a spark problem then the plug would bring back wet and you inevitability to clean it earlier retrying.
Good Luck
Answers: Check that the diaphram in carby have not gone hard and also ensure that nouns filter is clean and if a sponge filter soak contained by a little grease before use
