Unfortunately, I don't think they get such a thing. Most brass handle are made from brass and not painted. The brass is polished, and that's why it's shiny. A protective coating is put on to keep it from tarnishing. If that coating get scratched, the brass with corode within that area. You can repolish the brass. You'll necessitate a cotton wheel for a dremel (or similar) and some stick (10,000 grit) If you have access to a Sears, they transport this kind of piece in the hardware department. Just remember to recoat the nouns you polished with some sort of protection. ie. varnish.
