Is it normal that you find neither the gas hose nor the securing chain (for free-standing cookers) when you buy a untried cooker? The hose I can kind of become conscious, but seems a bit of a backwards step to the seventies, when you have to go out and buy a plug every time you bought anything electrical.
Answers: yes it is in a minute, they are not usually supplied some makers do most dont. It usually states contained by the instruction manual if it requires fasten and/or stability bracket (if you have an eye horizontal grill usually it requires both). Dont forget to level the cooker beside the adjustable feet when its contained by position, most fitters dont do it but it's good practice to do so. Hope this help.
There are two reasons why the store doesn't include hoses or chains contained by the package. First is cost. There is vicious competition to win your business by offering products at the lowest cost - so only the plain cooker is supplied. You want anything else, you pay extra. Then within is safety. Only Corgi registered gas fitters are allowed to connect gas appliances, so the trade is restricting supply of gas spares to qualified race to prevent customers from DIYing.
