The bottom burner on my electric stove has stopped working. It doesnt obtain hot at all. The top burner still works. What would mete out this and how do you fix it?
Answers: I have to agree that it is probably the bottom factor that is doomed to failure. If you can visually inspect it, you'll probably see some bubbling or blistering on it somewhere, or even a break right through the element.
When my part went contained by my Magic Chef, it actually started smouldering in the oven! It be kind of funny. There be no real risk as it was contained inside the oven nouns. If you ever see this happen, any turn off the oven, unplug it, or permit it burn out by itself. Once the electric connection is burned through surrounded by the element, the fire will move about out on its own.

The bottom element is burned out or the wires governing to the element enjoy burned out or.you have the oven switch set on broil. This would do the top (Broiling element ) to work but not the bottom. My guess is the switch is set wrong or the switch could be fruitless. It would be best to have someone that have an ohlms meter to check it out. If all the other burners are working afterwards it's the switch or the element that is to say bad. First see if the oven switch is set on broil if so turn it on oven. Good Luck
