Try wipe off the infrared beneficiary on the opener element on your garage door ceiling. It may have built up exhaust/dust/dirt i.e. blocking the sensor.
You probably want to reprogram them. A possible voltage spike rest the receivers. Unplug the overhead door motors since you do so they will reset if the receiver is surrounded by a loop.
They work on RF and not infrared like a TV remote.

There is an encryption components which is built into your software that is designed to thwart any intrusion from a hacker's code generator. Unfortunately, it will later reject any code until it is reprogrammed.
If you are not a techie, ask the kid down the street (my 16 year old nephew fixed mine contained by half an hour).
