Answers:    It could be the spark plug needs replacing or the gas mixture w/oil is bad a bit, but this isn't a friendly tool to own or use.
I had a Bolen weed eater-nothing but trouble. My biggest compliant be couldn't use any string except their own.Hubby bought this Bolen along w/their push mower which will not crank-if it ever did more than 4 or 5 times.
I threw this Bolen crap in a corner surrounded by my shed & spent around $100 and bought me a Homelite straight shaft weedeater. It's so easy to operate that a kid could use. A straight shaft allows you to capture close & under things as steps and fence. BTW, Homelite is now owned by John Deere, found that out when I registered the warranty online. Bought the Homelite at Home Depot.
