Winter's coming up -- always preserve Doggie (Husky) outside, in DogHouse -- usually, boiler = lite-bulb in coffee-can -- (Winters here contained by Quebec, temp. sometimes -30!) -- this year a new place, problem beside electric-outlet, anyway -- this is also for Electricity afficionados -- is there something I connect to car-battery that can exploit as heater within enclosed space? Thank-you & Doggie "Siberia" gratefulness you...
Answers: This is a great question...I be working on this last year.
I come up with a couple of usable accepted wisdom...
1) Battery tied to a solar panel (to keep it charged) afterwards
use the battery to turn on a wishy-washy bulb (or heat lamp) ...the steam
from the bulb should help. especially if the doghouse is
closed up (rubber flap over the door?) You may want to put
the bulb underneath a metal cover...then your best friend can lean
on the cover. To use a regular street light bulb (ac), use a
inverter to get 120vac from the 12vdc battery-operated. Be sure to
keep adjectives wiring away from your buddy...you don't want him
chewing on the wires! (also away from water/rain)
2) Solar ...thought give or take a few this for a while...any black metal
surface will get thaw out in the sun. The problem is storing
the boil for long cold nights. A metal container packed with
saline water and rocks could be warm by the sun and would
retain heat for a while...you would own to experiment.
Good luck, and I would like to know what you come up
next to...drop me an email.
My friend lives in Montana and have two dogs that won't stay in the house. They also will not sleep together to relief keep respectively other warm. Dave bought a gas generator one that have about eight hour running time on one fill-up. It sits inside a dog house too so the snow, wind, rain and adjectives don't stop it. Like he said it gives him an extra when they lose power within really bad storms. Last year he have to use it and he brought the dogs in, he said he think they are starting to figure out within the house isn't so bad after adjectives.
