GE XL44 Oven Does Not Work?
What give or take a few Alpha,Vaillant or Worcester?They all form good boilers.The Baxi 105e is a standard efficency boiler i regard,which you cant fit anymore,unless you have no alternatives.

Can Freon Go Bad?
I basically googled this boiler. If I were you, I wouldnt touch it. It seem to have reliability problems.

I fitted a Baxi 30 HE condensing combi boiler which cost me lb850 plus fitting and it is great. I too hold a 3bed semi with interior heating and hot dampen on demand.

Answers:    I am guessing this boiler is already in the property seeing as you can't fit one in need fulfilling criteria laid down with the condensing boiler regs. Baxi are considered a mid gamut boiler, worcester bosch and vaillant are widely regarded as the best, the installation is the switch, if the instructions have be left near it, look at the blue and white book, called the 'benchmark' procedure, and make a huge difference to the lifespan of the boiler, I am taking out a 6 years old baxi 105e tomorrow because the installation be poor and the boiler constantly has problems near circulation due to debris contained by the system. Have a look at website where I work, some pious information there.
