Got the thing adjectives installed and look at the plug and it looks like I'm going to europe. Says it requirements 230v 30a. Can I just run an extention cord from a 220 outlet and find an adapter for the sideways plug?
You would be better served to change to outlet to meeting the plug on the unit. What we nickname 220VAC and 230v is the the same. You must determine the amperage of the circuit breaker. That is what the 30a is referring to.

The voltage is not the problem.
"230" is nominal. If you're in the rural or sub-urban
U.S. you've get 240V. and the machine will resembling it fine.
(It will also do all right on British 220V.).
The problem is ampereage, and voltage drop.
If your outlet is for 30A. or more, and your cord is not
too long, (under 50'), or too small,
(under #12 AWG.), you can do it.
That said, extention cords are prone to anyone
damaged, and that IS a menace. Guard that cord well,
and check it recurrently.
Answers:    if you enjoy an outlet close enough for the section to be plugged into then you can converti that outlet for the heavens plug.. check to see if the nuetral wire go all the style back to the panel and not tied within to anything else.. if thats the case after remove the shut power to that outlet and remove the recepticle. then at the panel identify the nuetral cable that goes directly to that outlet box and disconnect it from the nuetral bus banister connect it to a breaker that is out of phase from the outlet box. you can audition this before you connect anything by measure from the breaker feeding the outlet to another.. you may see any zero volts or 240. the one that give you the 240 is the one you will connect the white wire or nuetral cable too. at that point it is no longer a nuetral wire but a hot leg telecommunication.. keep both breakers bad and go buy the recepticle that will both fit surrounded by the box as well as the a/c cord. it wont thing which wire go where on the clean recepticle because there is no polarity.. so you will own two hot wire and a ground.. after you install, turn on the breakers check to receive sure you have the volts required.. place your lead inside the socket you will probably get smaller number than 240 and thats ok.. it could be as low as 225.. not a problem.. plug in the a/c your arranged to go..
various will say that a indigestible gauge chain is needed. and that would be my recommendation. but if its 12 indicator then you will not enjoy a problem.. and most recepticles are.
even though the unit say 30 amps .. it will not draw that much power.
