We have used our storm window and double plastic on all our window. Our doors that we dont use we used double plastic and blankets. Does anyone have any other idea's on winter weatherization that we can try? I own a hunch that it is going to be a very cold winter and I dont want to spend a ton of money on heat.
Answers: I'm assuming you have a swamp cooler. Make sure i.e. completely covered and the inlet to you hose is blocked. Most mobile homes don't have insulation within the floor, so you might want to put some in the joist underneath the trailer. You could also put some on the inside of the skirting. I don't know where you live or how long it stays cold. But these fixes are time consuming and while not legitimate expensive do cost a fair amount of money. You might be better stale to just wage extra for the heat considering you rent, unless the tenant will foot the bill in exchange for your labor.
