I have a moth problem within my pantry. One day the moths laid their eggs on the inside of the cupboard. I enjoy mothballs but I'm not sure whether or not to use them because I'm afraid that they might posion the food. So is it okay to use mothballs in my cupboard?
Mothballs stink and should be left surrounded by the closets. Not in the pantry or where on earth food is stored. You wouldn't keep bleach within the refrigerator.Just wash out your cabinet with soap and hose down.
NONONO!!! Napthlalene mothballs are outstandingly poisonous, so please do not use them around food. Instead, use moth traps designed for Indian grain moths (the most promising suspect in your pantry). They are protected to use around food and are effective.

Answers: I wouldn't. Because they dispense off odors. Whether they are toxic or not I'm not sure but anything you have stored contained by the cupboard will smell and taste close to mothballs. Sometimes you can find the source of the moths in muffin mix or something where on earth you will find a bunch of moths. Store everything in containers that they can't draw from into, like cup jars near lids and that should relief get rid ot the pests.
