Last week I asked for advice about whether or not to replace my 17 year out-of-date electric water heater ( which is still working). I contracted to follow the advice to replace it now beforehand it dies or leaks. I am looking at various brands and models. This is my ask. The one we currently have is approximately 44 in. soaring. I am looking at a model that is 60 in high - same capacity in gallons. Do I have need of to look at one the same height as the mature one - or will the taller models work with the same plumbing etc.
Thanks for any support you can give.
Answers: Some of the pipes will need to be replumbed to fit the up to date water heater. You'll concentration the inlet (cold) pipe enters the water oven at the top. The outlet (hot) exits also at the top. With the difference in height...the inlet and outlet pipes will necessitate to be extended to fit the new heater. If you plan to do it yourself...acquire a how-to book so you'll have complete directions on hand. Otherwise...grasp a pro.
Taller model will work, as long as your pipes can be adjusted to reach the connections on the tentative tank. Usually, hot water tank are measured in gallons, not in inches. You should acquire a 40 gallon tank to be sure there's enough hot marine in your home. go to Lowes...they own what you need and can assemble it in your house
