since i cant find info on the furnace where on earth do i start?
i have call many heat people, and none hold gotten back, would it be because they cant find anything on it?
Answers: Wait a minute. I answered on the other ask and I didn't say that the pilot "doesn't parsimonious anything" with a conversion. Likely the pilot orfice desires to be changed.
You haven't really said what you want to do.
Are you converting from propane to natural gas?
If so the leading burner orifices need to be changed, same for pilot, and possibly the gas valve if it is not convertable.
"American radiator and standard sanitary corp. " is an old-fashioned name. It is presently American Standard which is still a big major company.
But that identify change be made 41 years ago so you have a a bit old element. Not a big problem. Mine is at least that behind the times.
Many "furnace" people do steam and cool. At the start of summer they could be busy with Air Conditioning. So no prompt response may be normal. Plus they kind more money on other things than conversions.
You may try your gas utility. Some have their own service ancestors or they may recommend somebody for conversions. The utilities are rather extraordinary about conversions because they have need of to be done properly and labeled because the old model number give the old parts and may designate propane. It is a safekeeping and regulatory issue.
People doing conversions need to enjoy a gas license that some "repair" people don't own.
Good Luck.
