Air conditioner examine for you A.C. technicians...? I turned my A.C. on this evening for the first time...
I turned my A.C. on this evening for the first time this season. The air coming out be quite cold. However, after in the order of 2 hours, I see frost-like ice (and it is getting thicker) on the copper stripe between the outside unit and the inside component on the couple of inches of line specifically not insulated going into the furnace. The air coming out of the registers give the impression of being less cold. What does this indicate? It worked great finishing summer. Thanks!
Answers: The unit froze up... It's any low on freon, or there's not enough nouns moving across the "A" coil. The first thing, shut the A/C bad and let the admirer run to defrost the coil. Check your air filter...if it's dirty, it may be restricting nouns flow - clean it or replace it. Is the blower operating on low or hi-speed? Last check the freon charge.
Gosh, I purely read the question , and you get 3 answers already.Odds are since you had the section serviced last year I will bet they added freon. Then your part started working.AC units don't in recent times loose their charge, when this happens in attendance is a leak.A worthy ac tech. will find the leak and repair it.You should not hold a problem 6 months later.Sadly for us some techs will simply charge the unit knowing subsequent year you will have to telephone call them back.If this time around they charge you for freon ask if they repaired the escape. And do they guarantee their work. Most will say 90 days which isn't greatly of help.A dirty coil or filter can effect this but 90 percent of the time it's low on charge. Then in adjectives fairness it could have developed another problem over the winter.Ask around ,within ares some good ethnic group out there who do a great opening.
