Im looking at a 1 Stage, 80 gallon 4.5 HP, 14 CFM (a) 90 PSI, 16 CFM (a) 40 PSI air compressor. $700.00
Can someone tell me roughly the quality of Kobalt air compressors? I enjoy several other Kobalt tools that are very good talent. Never used one of their compressors though. Any advice?
I will be using it mostly on the weekends for about two months. (Spray guns, adjectives wheels, and about a 10 gallon sand blaster) After almost two months of that. It will just be random on bad use. Not very often.
Answers: Harbor Freight is a apt idea but if you are going to be running a sandblaster and air guns I would suggest a 2 stage !! All you will be capable of do with a 1 stage is use it a little and after let it air hindmost up, a 1 stage cannot run a high enough constant psi for those type of tools a 2 stage clearly will!! just go to www.harborfreight.com the prices are alot lower and they take either campbell housefield and a different brand but they are ALOT cheaper !! You can also get an extended warranty from them!! And their customer service is second to none!!

Kobolt make good tools, and I have hear good things about them, but the price is a bit high.
Check out Harbor Freight.com. You can get a comparable compressor for in the order of 1/3 the price of Kobolt. Since the compressor will see light duty, don't invest a lot of money surrounded by it.
