Answers: I'm guessing a single handle shower stopcock? Take the Valve body back out and rotate it 180 degree. top to bottom ....or bottom to top.....half instrument around....half a circle....adjectives the same. I've never see a shower with flexible supply lines ....disappeared has other been hot and right is other cold but some single handle valve can be inserted 180 degrees wrong and when you turn it on instead of going from cold to hot the more you turn ( resembling it should) it Starts off scalding hot and get colder as you go.....Hope this help....
P.S. If you arn't dealing with a single feel valve after I have no theory.....once again good luck
Somehow your supply lines get installed to the wrong connections. They should be switched around.
