According to the Nec,whats is the max wall space between 2 next outlets?
Answers: It's 12 feet, if the wall is continuous.
The rule is that no point on the wall should be out
of achieve by a standard 6 foot cord from an outlet.
(This applies to living areas, not to closets and corridors etc.)
The code says 12 foot between outlets, also within 6 foot of a break(doorway. etc) and any wall longer then 2 foot as well. Most things you would use contained by a room come with 6 foot cords, so ideally you could place an tv, hurricane lantern, whatever at any point of a wall. The code is different for kitchens, which is 2 foot from an edge and next 4 ft to the next.
