My outside a/c unit comes on, the pipes surrounded by the garage are ice cold, but no nouns will blow through my vents. When the warmth is on it will blow through the vents. Anyone hold any idea what could be the problem. I'm a single mom who feel like she have been abused by repair populace in the recent past.
Too bad my husband isn't home - he is contained by HVAC - my advice, send for around and go beside the most popular, most expensive people. That might nouns a little crazy, but you find what you pay for.
Okay a few things could be happening here.
1. you hold a relay that switches control for the fan from your furnace stat to your t-stat. This make your fan rescheduling on so you dont blow cold air formerly it warms up. And delay it off so you dont resign from heat surrounded by your unit. this have a normaly open and normaly closed contact. Id guess that bake is the normaly closed position so when you enrgize it it allows the tsat to control fan on and rotten. this is probably bad and will requirement to be replaced.
2. you could have a loose flex either within tstat or at relay or broken some where along the chain. Its usually the green wire..
3. your tstat could be not operating correctly
my best guess is the relay.
Good luck sometimes if you touch un the relay it will work for a short period of time. but contained by the end wants replacement.
Answers: If your fan is stopped the AC pipes will frost up inside the unit. You can't miss it. It will be exceptionally visible. It happen to me twice last year. The lead kept coming unplugged to my blower fan. I fixed it myself the second time. I secured the telecommunication so it would not come off.
Or... Your component could be low on Freon. I hate it but IMO to be exact how the keep making money stale us. I have to hold mine filed once every 2 years. They are supposed to be a hermetically sealed system but I have never see one yet that did not escape. Lucky for us they make refrigerators better than that today. They used to own the same problem. Now they uncommonly ever break down. These manufacturers have need of to get their standards up to par. I'm beside you I get tired of paying for Freon again and again. It's newly not right. It's like buying a product that have yearly repairs built contained by that constantly suck money from the consumer. These repair guys got it goin on. If I could gain the Freon, I could put it in myself. All you stipulation is a set of High / Low pressure gages. This is just another one of those consumer scam they set up to play on us.
