A/C Motor Problem Second Motor,? My A/C Fan Motor Went Out I went to the Local Electric...
My A/C Fan Motor Went Out I went to the Local Electric Shop told them what I had which be a GE 1/8 HP Capacitor Motor with 4 Wires Black, Green, Brown, Purple, Green Ground, Black Purple Line, Brown to Capacitor, The new Motor have seven wires Green Ground, Black and White for Direction, Yellow and Black Line, Brown &Brown/White He hooked to a capacitor, The motor turns the right way. The Brown Wire on the Old Motor was hooked to the Capacitor on A/C element but with the new motor it didn't find hooked up to anything? The problem is I had a tech here he told me my Compressor Motor was shot because after putting this motor In the compressor wouldn't turn on. I bought another motor impossible to tell apart Part Number, same four wires as orginal, the compressor kicks on but the fan motor doesn't turn the right channel and is not reveseable, I'm thinking the first motor was not wired right causing the compressor not to see on, but now I two Motors and a $900 Compressor (not Needed) and still no A/C.
There is a style to get the right motor. Get the original motor and you should shift yourself and talk to the guys that sell the motors, explain to them what is going on and later after getting the motor have another technician come over and put that in for you. Make sure you lift the original motor. and make sure that on the motor that they pass you it is listed what direction is going to spin. I would suggest you that if you have a (AAA motors) store close to you, consequently you should go there. These guys are correct and they know more than a technician about motors, and that's because they sell them. Good luck.
I didn't see a cross-question. However on newer units the condenser fan is surrounded by series with a sensor to keep the guide pressure around 250 to 280 lbs. As the condenser gets hotter the fan will move faster. here should be a blue wire tht connects to a circut on the drivers side towards the windshield plug it in and it should turn on like peas in a pod thing happened 2 me 2day
Answers: I cant get a clear compassionate of what went on and what got replaced.
Did the compressor take replaced?
Sounds like you just get the wrong fan motor.
Some motors can be reversed by removing the end cap and changing the rotor the other direction.
Sounds like the tech didn't skulk for the compressor to cool off to check if it was operable.
