Our a/c -heater is a heat pump. It have been making a roaring crack when coming on. Today I saw why. The bottom half of the heavens intake is frozen over. Any suggestions. Do I need to call upon my a/c man?
Answers: im 16, and my dad is a A/c man all his license and stuff.. and hes training me to do it.. all you own to do is break the ice away.. grill it up.. and it should work
The unit should automatically progress into defrost and melt the rime. The roaring noise is probably the component going into defrost or coming out of defrost mode. For more info, check out the heat pump page at my source.
