Obviously this affects the way it runs. the strength of air flow and coolness for a while.
I have a wall unit... not a glass... but they are similar, you know... not central unfortunatly.
What causes this?
What can I do to prevent it?
And is in that something wrong w/ my until that would need fixed b/c of this?

thanks so much within advance!!

You will have to have someone come out and top stale the freon on the unit and check it out. Shouldn't be too expensive.
Only two things create this.Low airflow which can be many different things or low refrigerant.A defective metering device also sometimes causes this but not as recurrently as the other two.Where it says "heat cool off",put it to rotten on the thermostat.Where it says "fan on auto",put it to on.Run it this method for 30 minutes to an hour. Then put It back to normal operation.Set the heat on 75 and "cool" and the fan to "auto".It will work for a while till it freezes over again. Make sure all the registers surrounded by the rooms are open all the track.
Clean the outside unit with the garden hose. If this doesn't work within is a good chance the section is low on freon. Call a serviceman.
Answers:    if its freezing up and the filters are clogged, verbs the filters and you should be good to be in motion.
if not, call repair man from reputable company.
Just basis it froze up doesn't mean it needs refrigerant
poor air flow thru condenser coil, thats what do to freeze up.You might have to check for dirty air filter, discouraging in door blower motor or dirty condenser coil.. if the evap coils or the filter is dirty then it can colllect rime,,,is that what you are writing about?
