A/C blowing but not cooling!? Frost forming on one pipe (the small one) near the housing...

Frost forming on one pipe (the small one) near the housing cover, A/C fan is blowing, filter is verbs but I am not getting any cold air?! could it be the freon? and how do I check it without calling a contractor?

when the ac forms rime like that it more then plausible means the blower motor is either worn-out or is working slower then it should. there also could be a blockage contained by the air venting system cause the air not to blow out normal.

I have the same problem a few days ago. What I did was shut stale the A/C for about an hour to let it essentially "thaw"... The cold nouns came out much better after turning it on. Make sure it is also not leaning inside, or outside too far.. the uneven-ness of it could effect water to run off incorrectly and result in freezing where it's not necessary.

Also, if it is cooler outside, the heavens may not blow as cold as you'd like as well.
