I spilled paint on my carpet. Anyone have any solutions for getting it out??
Replace the carpet.
How big is the spill? If it is very small, vote just a few drops, you can clip out the paint with the tips of a two of a kind of scissors.
But if it is bigger, you will have to replace the spot with a different piece of carpet.
If this is your own home, look in the garage or storage to see if you can find a piece of matching carpet. If you don't hold a scrap, you can usually find a corner back surrounded by the spare room closet or somewhere that will be hidden.
Use one of those slide-out cutting blades to cut the unpromising spot out- best to cut a square or rectangle. Then cut your new piece ever so slightly larger (better to have to trim for a ideal fit) and then sew it in next to a matching color thread making loop stitches with a life-size needle. Go all the means of access around with the stitches, pulling and working them down into the carpet as you jump so they will be hidden deep contained by the carpet.
When you are finished, brush across it with your mitt a couple of times and chances are you won't even be able to inform where the spot was replaced.
