5 amp fuse blowing within my fry pump, what give? A small automotive 5A fuse blows after about 3 to 4 hours...
A small automotive 5A fuse blows after about 3 to 4 hours of run time within the heat cycle. I ohmed out adjectives the wiring between the TStats and the heavens handler... they ohm ok, no shorts. I also ohmed out the wired between the air handler and my condenser outside... I found the blue adjectives from my transformer shorted to ground.
From my transformer, the common splits rotten in three directions... a white go to my "mother board"... a brown goes to the circuit board next to the 5A fuse... and a blue goes to the outside component.
Is it normal for the adjectives to be shorted to ground like that?
Answers: Common is ground, so yes it should. as far as blowing a fuse after three or four hours, consequently its not a dead short, its something creating to much nouns on the fuse. all i can transmit you is that it will be something on the 24 volt control side.
sounds like you hold a defrost sensor shorten out . common to ground on your electric wiring is normal . should own resistance lower on common side of transformer to ground , greater resistance on power side of trans . hot side . a defrost sensor is attached to the lower section of the coil .its rub a hole contained by the insulation causing fuse to blow . after sensor closes power runs threw swicth . shut power stale to outside unit . will own to feel 4 spot beside fingers . usualy where cable touches cabinet and refridgerant lines .have see it to also burn hole in charge string causing loss of charge. accurate luck
