120 AC volt timer for a 240 AC volt nouns? I want to install a 120 Vac electro-mechanical timer to turn...
I want to install a 120 Vac electro-mechanical timer to turn a 240 Vac air-conditioner on or off at miscellaneous times, day and dark. I would like to purchase the timer, but would build one if I can find a reliable circuit diagram next to component values.
Any good planning?
Answers: U HAVE to buy a 240 volt timer and u can get it at a Electrical specialty shop (where the electricians return with their stuff.) Home Depot/ Lowes/ H/D (might)/L hardware store will have to special establish it. ($100+) Why not get a digital thermostate control that comes beside a timer? Same price.lol They get u coming or going.
What you stipulation is a standard electric water kiln timer. They turn 240 volt electric water heaters on and stale, usually, as many times a daytime as you want. You must run 240 volts to the switch, which has a timer contained by it that runs off one leg of the 240 volts, (120 volts). The switch runs the 240 volt system. They enjoy a circuit diagram printed on the inside of the front cover so they're relatively easy to install if you enjoy even a little bit of experience next to electricity. They can usually be purchased for around $35 - $45 at most hardware or home improvement stores.
