I have a 4ft tall yucca. What's the easiest mode to transplant it, keep it upright and what's the best soil for it?
Answers: Yuccas are totally hard if not outright impossible to transplant. Yuccas develop ENORMOUS roots. I have to dig one or two out that the previous owner planted too close to the house. The roots consist of a huge woody, tuber - like root. If you do not take the whole thing out, it will sprout lots of little yuccas. The roots I dug out be bigger than a football and weighed at least 10#. That be just the part I get last year. This year I had to verbs more where the new ones be sprouting from the roots I left behind. Those be more of the same. Large woody and deep.
You are better rotten buying new yuccas and planting them where you want them.
