Hi,
My yard have sprung up these little weeds adjectives over that look like high blades of grass, yet hold wheat-like looking heads on top. They are adjectives over making my green grass look awful. What are they and why didn't Scotts Plus 2 kick their butts?
Thank you
I agree, it is your grass seed.. mine does the same point every year, i usually keep my grass cut longer and my entire courtyard looks like wheat stalks, it is not weed.. it will eventually go away... or resembling the other person suggest, possibly let it progress through its seeding cycle formerly mowing it down..
Johnson weed? (dagrrrrrnabbit couldn't find an image) Crab grass? http://search.yahoo.com/search?p=crabgra... nut grass? http://images.hunt.yahoo.com/images/vi... gotta get the grass the nut the momma.tough hand work
And around a bazillion other invasives.
Yeah, why didn't that plus twice do it's thing. post emergent? pre emergent? hmmm

This is your grassland going to seed. Happen every year at this time. It's a flawless thing, your grassland is self propagating but unfortunately tons of us can't wait for the full cycle to complete and mow it down.
ETA Yes, your grass is seed itself to grow thicker. But if you mow it, it will end the "process". That is why copious suburbanites seed every year. If we have the patience to tolerate the grass do it's job, we wouldn't enjoy to plant seed every year. But, alas, fresh cut grass freshly can't wait!!
