wasp i guess is instrument better. but i really don't know i've never been stung by ANYTHING before. true story. I guess a hornet, freshly to spice things up a bit. I'm usually stung by wasps. Hopefully that won't come back to bite me in the a$$

Answers: Hornets and wasps are used interchangeable. Only the females sting. But most of the insects are females.
The sting is agony full in yellow jacket and hornets.
Also in honey bees and bumble bees. Only the honeybee will die if it stings.
