i got several 10 to 15 foot high-ceilinged maples out of the ground last week....took them and leaned them up aginst house and put them within water.....its be almost seven days....it only get cold one nite....will they be ok if i plant them now? i live contained by NC
it only frosted once since they be dug up.
Answers:    You should be all right planting them, I see no problem. Hydrating them is not a discouraging idea, any. When we get tree bundles from our conservation department, the first point the directions say is to soak overnight within a bucket of water to hydrate. Just don't soak them too long, tho a week shouldn't really shouldn't hurt anything. Fall is an excellent time to plant trees, when they are dormant, it give the roots time to recover and grow (they do grow,even surrounded by winter) before they own to bear the nouns of leaves in the spring. If you can achieve some Root Stimulator from a nursery or garden center, it is a really good perception to water your trees surrounded by with it, it help prevent transplant shock and growing new roots. Kind of insurance for your tree.
I deem Maples are probably one of the strongest trees,
