Answers: Your best bet is to cover it if you know you'll be having a cold snap, but if you don't, it may still survive. It does bring a while to come back, though. A couple of years ago I thought adjectives my plumbago were motionless from several nights of freezing weather. By hasty April, however, I could see tiny leaves near the substructure of the plants. Something that helps is to tolerate your plumbago go untrimmed previously the cold weather (new growth freezes first, and the plants grow back from the ground up).

There is a tropical plumbago that is a bush, have light blue flowers, that will not survive a freeze. There is the groundcover plumbago, near deep blue flowers and foliage that turns red surrounded by the fall; to be exact hardy and will survive to at least zone 5, conceivably colder. The groundcover does not even need to be mulched or covered within the winter, it will be fine just as make-up leaves it. Tough stuff.
