My wife and I planted these past summer, live surrounded by Charlotte, NC. They died down so we cut them around the base. Will they come rear legs? Should we not of cut them? They were brittle so we figure we should cut em.

Thanks!
Answers: In my zone 6b garden they may or not come back depending on the winter. I other plant them and nearly always lose 2 or 3 out of a dozen. Yes, you should cut them rotten, the tops do die off surrounded by the winter but the roots should be ok.
Salvia are tricky...some are annual in your zone and some are perennial....I never find mine to come back within KC ( Zone 5 ) Also, just for angelic measure, dont cut anything rear legs until the spring
