I recently built a tentative home and the builder planted two oak trees (believe they are live oak) in the front patio. One is doing very very well, but all of the leaves are brown on the other. It be doing fine until a storm the other morning that caused it to lean, a few days after that adjectives the leaves turned brown. We restaked and straightened the tree out and I have be giving it water every other afternoon. When I scratch a member it is green on the inside, but no new leaves hold sprouted yet. Any suggestions?
Answers: a young at heart tree that is busy putting down roots cannot regenerate tentative leaves in a week!... distribute it time!.don't stress it any further... see to it's water requests and no fertilizer!!.
In gardening I have other made a rule for myself . I call it the 2 year rule .
If i presume a plant is dead I administer it 2 years to rest and see if it is dead or not. I hold found plants that have "died" hold miraculously come to life aften I enjoy thought them dead after a years taking back.
Give it a chance and rent out some of your courtyard free of charge for a couple of years and you might be gifted by the wonderful miracle of spirit.
