I received an amaryllis picotee last year for chrismas and planted it and after it have flowers i cut them off and next it started leafs and then it have a tiny amaryllis bulblet attached to it then i wait two months for the tiny bulblet to feed on the mother plant consequently i carefully seperated it and put it contained by a glass of hose down and rooted it then i planted it, and presently it's been almost a year since the mother give berth to the little bulblet, when is the little bulblet going to flower? Could you please tell me contained by approxamatly how many years?
Answers: You should be capable of get it to flower surrounded by about 3 years. You really requirement to increase it's size as much as possible during the growing seasons by feed and watering, when it's about 3" across you own a chance of it flowering. Sadly, removing it when you did might hold slowed down the process, I've had them flower intheir 3rd year by going away them attached to the parent plant for their first 18months.
