The mint is HUGE , like 3ft high-ceilinged and right next to my 1 ft japanese eggplant..which is doing alright..Just wondering if this might present a problem.
I absolutely love fresh mint from the garden, but it must be contained within pots if you want to give other plants a fitting chance. So glad you asked very soon, while there's still a chance of positive your eggplant!
Good luck!

The mint relatives is a companion to the family that eggplant, tomatoes, and pepper are in, it's said to sweeten the fruit.

Mint is an aggressive plant and you will want to trim it back occationally to save it from over shading or chokeing out your eggplant. (that's the olny inhibiting the mint might do)
Answers:    Yes, it could be a intensely real problem. Mint is pratically a weed. It grows raging and will take over everything. I've found it meaningful to grow it in a seperate container so I'm not constantly battle it. If you want it in the ground, you can go and get a large container and bury it and plant the mint inside. Mint can choke out everything, the greedy piece. I would consider transplanting it or something if the eggplant and other veggies are important to you.

Transplanting or trying to get hold of rid of mint can be difficult too as it will keep trying to crop up. So if you do try to move it, try to remove as lots of the roots as possible from the ground and keep a close eye on the spot so you can hold on to pulling up the new shoots.
Your mint is going to keep spreading and will choke out most plants within its path-- best to move the eggplant right away.
