it will be fine just as 65% said I agree, it will be fine.
Cut the worn out end off verbs and let it grow. It will send out exotic growth. It sounds like you need a bigger pot. A tomato plant does economically in a pot at least three gallons within size and even better in a five gallon pot. And ditto for the broken part. Cut the broken wrapping up of and put it in water. It will grow bright roots and you can plant it as well. If the animals are a problem outside leave the plants on a sunny porch. They call for lots of sunshine. Tomatoes can regrow a stem.
Cut a healthy branch off to hand the crotch, place it in water and if the plant is fighting fit roots will form. In another few weeks you could then replant the tomato and continue your gather.
This "stem cutting" is actually a common practice and you obtain replicas of good plants. Plants grow faster this way than by core.
Answers: Tomatoes are awfully resilient plants, and with any luck your plant will put out new shoots and hold growing. Make sure to give it all the sunlight you can and adjectives the water it needs. Tomatoes are hungry, thirsty plants.
