Why is it that some companies that go bedding for small animals? sell cedar chips next to a guniea pigs picture on it ?...

sell cedar chips next to a guniea pigs picture on it ? cedar chips are fatal for guniea pigs as it cause respritory problems. Is there anyone that know of a use other than bedding that these companies would suggest the use for a guniea pig?

Answers:    I KNOW. That is such bull crap...so abundant people innocently do not know! We buy pine shavings for our guinea pigs. My suggestion is to not buy the bigger flakes, or the too-small ones. Ideally they should be roughly 2 cm. long per fleck. The bigger flecks (inch-long) will clog your drains terribly. The smaller ones basically get stuck on their poo as it's coming out, and after it gets horribly matted up, especially next to the long-haird guinea pigs.

I didn't know that cedar chips kill guinea pigs. It sort of stupid to massacre your customers, isn't it? I have a friend whose horse is allergic to cedar, too.
