aphids are nasty little bugs that will eat anything green
but luckily, ladybugs are the gardeners best friend because they approaching to eat the aphids and cause no damages to the plant Probably bugs, jump to the garden store and ask or read the bottles of products for roses.
I would say (without knowing where they're located) Japanese Beetles. Especially if your roses are outside. My parent's battle the stupid things for years with their roses. One thing that help control the population are the Japanese beetle catchers you can get at Lowes or Home Depot. You just stake them up and the daypack catches them, pretty successfully too. Mites and the like. Caterpillars and ants. make the addition of a few drops of mild plain dish soap to a lot of water and soak the roses. Keeps the bugs at creek.
