All of the pepper plants that I plant in my garden and in pots die within a matter of weeks. Leaves fall, stock of plant begin to brown.
hmm I don't know why, I planted mine in full sun with what I thought be too much hummus and manure. I had to spare out my garden so I pulled some out and placed them in a big pot. I have found pepper like raised garden bed because they like good drainage. They give the impression of being to be happy and are flowering. They like upright drainage so make sure you have holes at the bottom of your pot...Have you tried calculation a composting material? erratic watering
It could be something as simple as over or under watering the plant. And, as previously posted, build sure it can properly drain. I bought my plants at Home Depot this year. They are doing great. I will tell you what I did. I had several of the prevailing conditions black plastic pots from when I bought my roses. I bought topsoil, manure w/humus & peat moss in oodles. I put 2/3 topsoil, a tad less than 1/3 manure mixture and several double hand scoops of peat moss. I mixed this well surrounded by a wheelbarrow. Then filled the pots 2/3 full with a hollowed spot within the center. I put about a tablespoon of Osmocote (fertilizer/plant food) in the all right. Then place the plant, potting mix and all, in the hollowed out nouns. Then finished filling the pot with the soil mixture. I do not pack my soil. I will it loose and add a little more within the next week or so, if needed. Then I water them once a year, or if I notice the leaf edges pulling upwards, I hose again. My containers are all grouped together, side to side. Nothing is very much taller than the pepper. Also, I have sprayed mine with Garden Safe brand Fruit and Vegetable insect hired gun. You can find it with the pesticides at Home Depot. It says that it can be used up to the sunshine of harvest. I had a grasshopper problem at first, and this solved it. I lone had to use it twice. It also kept the fruit worms out of my peaches and pears. Hope this helps! They're frozen to grow. I generally don't have polite luck with them, either. I enjoy heard that peppers don't similar to to be grown in the same pot 2 years surrounded by a row, but no idea if that's true. You may try planting other stuff in final year's pepper pots, and plant peppers in ending year's other-stuff pots.
Answers: Plant a taller plant around them, like perhaps a tomato plant or something of that outlook. Even a flowing tall plant. The sun can be harsh on pepper plants but what I own found is by planting around my pepper plants taller plants, flowering or just veggies, i yield a full-size crop!
The bush pepper plants are great and so are the jalapeno plants! Good luck!
Check the soil and make sure it is well fertilized and watered also, a pepper plant does not approaching direct watering over the leaves and must be fed!
