Why aren't my geraniums blooming after deadheading them?

Answers:    If you're deadheading it correctly, which is snapping the entire spent flower stem off at the base, you're doing it right. If not, simply snapping the spent flower head off doesn't make clear to the plant it can use it's energy to make current blooms. Also, a good fertilizer for blooming is Super Bloom or Color Burst. If you can't find those, just procure something where the middle number in N-P-K (middle number human being the P number) is higher than the N and the K. That promotes blooms more than anything else. You should have a bazillion buds formerly you know it if everything goes well. Good luck!
If you newly planted it, it is probably going through shock. Just keep it fed and the blooms will return.
