I planted them 2 years ago around the queen palm in the front of my house. The corner where they are face southwest. They don't seem to take past its sell-by date. They look very skinny and although they are now flowering this month, they don't come across to get bushy and grow. I have feed them ixora/palm food 2-3 times a year since I have planted them. The palm is thriving nicely, but not the ixoras. What else could I plant around the palm instead?
Answers: Ixoras close to acid soil.
Try to incorporate some peatmoss into the soil and mulch with pinestraw. Keep plants moist during the growing season.
Azalea fertilizer might oblige in the meantime.
