Why a red rose appears to be red?
Answers: The colour that appears to be within objects, such as a red rose, is truly our brains' perception of the light that have been reflect by it. Assuming that white full spectrum light have been shone onto the rose, it absorb most of the spectrum, but reflects stern some of the frequencies hitting it, in this instance re-emitting pale waves next to a frequency we have defined as red.
Genetics hold resulted in respectively plant having specific colours, surrounded by other words reflecting certain lighting frequencies, and roses have a justly wide capacity to have different colours, from white to shade blue/black.
So, we perceive the reflected pale waves, of specific frequencies, and our brain interprets these as have a specific colouring.
Hope this helps. Good luck! Rob
