An indoor koi pond won't work. You would need a huge aquarium...HUGE. 3' gaping, 4-6' wide and at least 6' or more long near massive filters and some way to exchange in the order of 10% of the water weekly.
How to carry on bureau plants?
Go to a thrift store and buy a 5 gallon tank, and attain some guppies or goldfish. Koi won't live long inside.

I know Japanese restaurants regularly have indoor Koi ponds, but I don't know the life longevity of their Koi. You may want to examine one if you can find one in your area. I see you minute that you have a baby, and you're right, it have time to grow. You may have to expand your cost to accomplish what you'd like. You should also consider the lighting called for. You've been given some good guidance re: the filters etc. Just remember to keep the Koi's best interest at heart. Do you own just the one baby or more? Best of luck surrounded by your search!
