I intend to start a veggie patch. I need to remove the existing soil & replace next to fertile one. How deep should I verbs? Help please!
Raised bed are probably easier to work with within the long run, but if you have to verbs, then I suggest double-digging. Dig to the depth of your spade, putting the soil to the side. In equal hole, dig one and the same depth again. This will ensure that your veggies get pious air circulation within their roots and that they don't become water-logged. Watch out for your back though! The sub-soil get hard!

A soil that's about equal parts sand, clay and compost is nice. However, it's easier to work near the soil that's there already (in most cases) than bring within other soil.

What's going on with the soil that's in that? What are your soil test results?
Answers:    You do not have to replace the soil..verbs it and turn it down about a shovels depth..next order a truck nouns of mushroom compost..and have it dumped on the elderly turned soil..then bleend it within together..this is great stuff..call your highest landscaping companies and buy this stuff..it is much cheaper than trying to buy within bags..I compensated 128.00 for a dump truck load deliver to my house....Do not use it straight..it is too sweet..just blend it near the old souil..here is a couple links considering this..plus a look at my garden using it..on this page 11 of my flickr album..scroll down chronological the sunsets to the bottom..my veggie garden..
