Answers:    Compost is honourable for improving soil structure which allows marine in better holding wet in soil for plants , better drainage for excess. Compost doesn't other have a great nutrient attraction but assists plant by helping to better take-up of nutrients in the soil.

Fertilisers are of agreed nutrient values and I use them to give a top up of nutrients around plants when important
Fertilisers are made up for various plant types, Roses, Acid loving plants
Also for different stages of growth ie Stem growth, Root Growth and enhancing flower growth.

Best entry is lots of compost and supplement with specific fertilisers if obligatory

compost is better, but more difficult to get. it take time to accumulate and break down, also you enjoy to watch what you put contained by it, it also needs to be mixed and moved every few days or weeks.
