Which apple tree (dessert) do you recommend I plant in my garden. I already own Gala, so would like something surrounded by the same pollination group.
Answers:    I would look for some of the long standing variety. James Grieve, Coxes Orange Pippin etc.

Well done going for MM106 if you plan to enjoy a productive orchard apple - too many ancestors go for more dwarfing variety and have problems near poor air circulation.
My first choice variety surrounded by this flowering group is Ashmead's Kernel. It's very sharp precipitate on but keeps beyond Christmas.
Ellison's Orange, Laxton's Superb and Orlean's Reinette are adjectives good.
Remember that apples contained by neighbouring flowering groups will also cross pollinate those within your group, so you actually hold a wider choice. In that case you can consider Discovery, Greensleeves, James Grieve, Kidd's Orange Red (very nice!) and Red Falstaff (very apt!)
