Where do you trim the inert hibisus flower? Right down the bloom or be it comes stale the stem?
Answers: I trim mine right behind the bloom. The stump will dry and spill out off eventually. If you cut the intact thing rotten you risk damaging the point at which the bud have formed. I always used to wonder why my African Violets refuse to bloom. I was wounding the plant by pulling off the undamaged stem instead of leaving a stump to dry.

I hold over a dozen hibiscus plants and have never have to trim the dead flowers. They trip up off themselves shortly after they start to shrivel. The stem stays.
